Janene Wilson has been the founder and CEO of Plan4ward Consulting since its inception in 2006. Coming from an Indigenous background Janene has spent the majority of her career focusing on community development and creating change management opportunities within Indigenous communities. Janene is a graduate of Memorial University of Newfoundland and has a professional background with the federal and provincial governments. In 2014 Janene developed a passion to provide coaching to her clients and was the recipient of the Alberta Business Award of Distinction, Woman Entrepreneur Award of Distinction.
Janene’s passion is working with teams as a change consultant who focuses on encouraging personal growth and development through various coaching and learning opportunities. Janene became a certified coach in 2007 and is recognized by the International Coaching Federation and the NeuroLeadership Institute.
Chris Wilson brings a wealth of experience to Plan4ward, having worked with Aboriginal organizations for over 25 years. Chris is a graduate of the Business Administration – Finance program at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT). He has in-depth knowledge of federal and provincial funding for Aboriginal groups, as well as extensive experience with project management, negotiating land and specific claims, and consultation. Chris also has previous work experience as a Band Manager and Band Advisor and has an excellent understanding of federal programming and funding methodologies. Chris has been recognized for exceptional customer service with awards such as a Deputy Minister’s Award and Regional Director General Awards for services provided to Aboriginal communities.
Kara Hryckowian is an expert in market research. Kara joined the Plan4ward team in 2012, shortly after graduating from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Commerce degree. Recognized as one of the top students in her class, Kara uses her exceptional university experience to conduct reliable statistical analyses, particularly with regards to labour market planning. She is also earning a reputation as an effective marketing strategist, project manager, website developer and workshop facilitator. Kara is an outstanding addition to the Plan4ward team.
Josie is a member of the Salt River First Nation in Fort Smith, NT. Josie has been assisting Plan4ward for since 2012. Josie brings extensive levels of experience from her previous roles and assists with Strategic Planning, Indigenous Governance and Human Resource Development. Josie is also an excellent mentor and provides goal setting techniques to Indigenous teams.
Prior to joining Plan4ward Josie’s work included senior management roles in the Federal government as well as human resource planning and band management at First Nation communities. Josie also has extensive board experience as she has chaired an International working group focusing in the World Heritage committee on Indigenous Peoples as well as Metis Councils, hospitals and colleges.
